Overview

The Capital Readiness Program is a 6-week program designed for early to growth stage businesses preparing for growth through customer or capital acquisition. The program focuses on core business and financial principles to help you develop a comprehensive plan for your business to increase funding readiness.

Program Dates:

  • Spring 2026: March 5-April 16, 2026 in Dallas, Ft. Worth & Frisco.

This 6-week hybrid virtual/in-person program covers the following topics:

  • Personal Finance 101
  • Understanding Financial Statements, Projections & Ratios
  • Credit Underwriting/Loan Readiness
  • Types of Capital
  • Storytelling & Pitching

Participants will also produce the following deliverables:

  • Financial Model/Projections
  • Loan Package Preparation
  • Capital Action & Use of Funds Plan
  • Company Data Room

Eligibility

Eligible participants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Must be a for-profit business
  2. Located in North Texas (Ex: Dallas, Tarrant, Collin & County)
  3. Owned and operated by under-estimated entrepreneur (i.e. Women, Person of Color, Veteran, or Low-to-moderate individuals)
  4. Minimum of 3 years in business with at least $50K in revenue
  5. Willingness and availability to commit 5-10 hours a week on their business

Who is this program designed for?
We support entrepreneurs & small business owners who are generating revenue and preparing to access capital. Our ideal participant typically has $100K+ in annual revenue and a team of fewer than five, but we do make room for founders who show strong traction, potential, or a compelling growth path.

How much does it cost to participate?
Nothing. The program is fully funded through Impact Ventures’ ecosystem partners. You invest your time and energy; we cover the rest.

Do I need to be investment-ready to apply?
Nope. That’s exactly what the program is for. We help you develop the financial clarity, business infrastructure, and confidence needed to raise or secure capital.  

What kind of capital can this program prepare me for?
Community loans, CDFI loans,  Revenue-based financing, Angel Investments, Grants + Non-dilutive Capital  

When will I hear back after applying?
All applicants are notified 2 weeks before the program start date with acceptances, declines, and next steps.
